Lower = smaller file. 80–90% is visually lossless for photos.

    Private by design

Your files are processed by your own device using WebAssembly and your browser's built-in codecs. Nothing is uploaded, logged or stored.

    Fast & offline-ready

No queue, no waiting for a server. Once the page has loaded it even works without a connection.

    Works everywhere

Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. No app to install.

    Screenshots belong in a PDF

PNG is the format screenshots arrive in, and a dozen loose PNGs is a poor way to deliver anything. Bug reports, software tutorials, design reviews, evidence for a dispute, a walkthrough of a dashboard: all of these read far better as a single PDF with pages in sequence. Recipients can scroll it, print it, annotate it and attach it to a ticket, and nobody has to guess which image came first. The same applies to exported charts, diagrams and slides saved as PNG from a design tool.

    Choosing settings for crisp pages

Images inside the PDF are stored as JPEG, which keeps documents compact but matters for screenshots because small text is where compression shows first. The default quality of 92% is chosen for exactly this content and keeps text clean at normal size. Go higher for archival material; drop toward 80% only when the PDF must be very small.

For page size, "Fit to image" is almost always the right choice for screenshots: each page is exactly the screenshot's dimensions with no margin, so a 1920×1080 capture fills a wide landscape page. Choose A4 or US Letter only when the document is going to be printed; then screenshots are scaled to fit within the margin you set and centred.

    Ordering pages

Files are added in the order you selected them, but file pickers do not always respect that. Every row shows its page number, and you can drag rows into position or use the up and down arrows, which also work from the keyboard. The PDF rebuilds itself as you rearrange, so the download button always reflects the current order.

    Transparency and colour

PNG supports transparency; PDF pages do not. Any see-through regions are filled with white when the page is created. Logos and UI elements that rely on a dark backdrop should be placed on one before conversion. Colours are converted to sRGB, which is what every PDF viewer displays anyway.

    Private by construction

Many screenshots contain things that should not leave your machine: customer records, internal dashboards, chat logs, account numbers. Tinyvert builds the PDF with JavaScript running in your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded and there is no server-side copy to expire, leak or subpoena. The same goes for the JPG to PDF tool and the general Image to PDF tool, which accepts mixed formats including HEIC.

How to convert png to pdf — step by step

    1. Drop your PNG files in. Screenshots, exported charts and graphics all work.

    2. Pick "One PDF with all images" to merge, or "One PDF per image" to split.

    3. Choose "Fit to image" for borderless pages, or A4 / Letter for printing, and arrange the order.

    4. Download the PDF.

    Frequently asked questions

Will my screenshots stay sharp in the PDF?
Keep the quality at 90% or above. Pages are stored as JPEG inside the PDF, and text in screenshots is the content most sensitive to compression. At 92% (the default) the difference is not visible at normal viewing size.
    What happens to transparent PNGs?
PDF pages are opaque, so transparent areas are flattened onto white. If your graphic needs a dark background, place it on one in an editor first.
Can I combine screenshots into one PDF in a specific order?
Yes. Add them, then drag the rows or use the arrow buttons to arrange the pages. The page number is shown beside each file.
Which page size should I pick for screenshots?
"Fit to image" is usually best: each page becomes exactly the size of the screenshot with no white border. Choose A4 or Letter only if the PDF is going to be printed.
Does any of this go to a server?
No. The PDF is built in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is kept once you close the tab.
